Located in the heart of central Texas, the city of Waco is the proud location of one of STRATA Trust Company’s two offices. STRATA is always looking for ways to be engaged and make a difference in the community – and thanks to Keep Waco Beautiful, we had a wonderful opportunity to achieve that goal this year.

 

Making a Difference in the Community

Keep Waco Beautiful is a non-profit organization located in Waco, Texas that is committed to making Waco a more beautiful and sustainable place to live. Established in 1979 by a group of dedicated community members, the organization has devoted tens of thousands of hours to their mission. One of their endeavors is the Adopt-a-Park program – partnered with the City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department, this program allows businesses, schools, organizations, neighborhood associations, and even individuals to adopt one of Waco’s 40+ parks with the goal of keeping them clean and enjoyable for the community.

For 2023, STRATA was delighted to adopt Viking Hills Park. Our Waco team members came together several times throughout the year and had a wonderful time working together to tend to the park and keep it clean and accessible for our neighbors.
