Special Offer to IRA Investors in Life Partners Holdings Inc. Plan of Reorganization
Special Offer Terms
Beginning March 1, 2017, through December 1, 2017, (“the Offer Period”) STRATA Trust Company (“STRATA”) will waive our first-year Account Set-Up Fee and first-year Annual Account Fee for investors involved in the Life Partners Holdings Inc., et al. Plan of Reorganization (LPI) that have individual retirement accounts ( IRAs) with another custodian. To qualify, you must open a new IRA with STRATA and initiate a direct transfer of your LPI investment holdings (in-kind) from your current custodian during the offer period, 3/1/2017 – 12/1/2017.
What will my annual fee be after the first year?
After the first year, your account will incur the applicable Annual Account Fee and Annual Asset Holding Fees outlined on our current IRA Fee Schedule.
- If you elected Option 1 for your IRA-owned LPI investment to be held as New IRA Notes as defined in the plan, your account will be charged an annual IRA fee based on our Flex IRA fee tier on our current IRA Fee Schedule, included with this packet. The annual fee currently ranges from $175-300 annually. In addition, an asset holding fee of $50/year per private holding would also apply.
- If you elected Option 2 for your IRA-owned LPI investment to join the IRA Partnership LLC pool, your account will be charged an annual IRA fee based on our Flex IRA fee tier on our current IRA Fee Schedule until such time as the IRA Partnership LLC becomes approved by the SEC as a publicly registered non traded entity. The annual fee for the Flex IRA tier currently ranges from $175-300/year. In addition, an asset holding fee of $50/year per private holding would also apply.
- If and when the IRA Partnership LLC registers with the SEC as a publicly registered non traded entity, your IRA would then qualify for the Basic IRA tier, assuming no other privately-offered investments are held in the account. The Basic IRA tier is currently $100/year with no annual asset holding fees.
