STRATA in the Community: 2026 Blood Drive

Everyone deserves access to life-saving care, and something as simple as donating blood can make a meaningful difference. At STRATA Trust Company, giving back is part of who we are, and we’re proud to support initiatives that strengthen our community.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, STRATA hosted Carter BloodCare’s donation bus at our office. Thirteen team members came together to participate in this life-saving effort, reinforcing our shared commitment to helping others. Each donation has the power to make a real impact, with just one pint of blood capable of saving up to three lives.

Every donation makes a difference

Carter BloodCare continues to highlight the real-life impact of blood donations through powerful stories from recipients. These stories serve as an important reminder that consistent donations are essential to maintaining a stable blood supply and supporting patients in need.

Stories like Mabel’s show just how critical these donations are. Shortly after her third birthday, Mabel was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a form of blood cancer that requires intensive treatment. Over the course of her care, she has undergone chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and received multiple blood transfusions to manage anemia and low platelet counts. 

For patients like Mabel, access to donated blood is not optional. It is a vital part of treatment and recovery. Blood transfusions can help stabilize patients during treatment, prevent complications, and support their ability to continue fighting serious illnesses. 

The donation process takes less than an hour, yet its impact can last a lifetime. Mabel’s story reinforces why blood drives and community participation remain so important.

Carter BloodCare also provides up-to-date insights into current blood supply levels, helping donors understand which blood types are most needed and how they can make the greatest impact.
